*NEW* LG BIOS Update for All Models !!

Hello,

To help those that want to update using a USB stick:

I have uploaded a decrypted version of the BIOS090127.iso file here: BIOS090127.7z
I did this using the fantastic geteltorito tool to extract the image that is inside the iso. ( geteltorito)
It's compressed down using 7zip to about 30MB, it extracts to the full 250MB file, which actually has files in it instead of the blank nothingness found in the original ISO. (Thanks for making it easy, LG...)
I personally just used the linux dd command to copy the raw file onto my flash device (eg. "dd if=/path/to/bios.iso of=/dev/sdd")

You should also be able to just copy the files over onto a blank FAT32 partition but I haven't tested that myself.
Once booted I selected the "Just flash" option to successfully update my R405-A to BIOS version LHORSF12 (coming from LHORSF10)

Hello .. I've downloaded the bios .iso file above .. I can't get it to work .. I've extracted the .iso using 7zip .. it says that the files are 78.1 mb total after extraction .. original .iso is 248 mb ..
I attempted to extract the files to a usb stick and set my lg to boot usb priority .. just errors out with "no operating system found"

I'm attempting to upgrade my LG R200-D.CPF1A9 processor from a T7250 2.0 ghz processor to a T9500 ghz processor .. when I boot the laptop with the T9500 in .. I get a black screen ..

any Ideas, suggestions?

 

My girlfriend has an LG S900 that was originally delivered with Windows Vista but has since been upgraded with Windows 7.
I wanted to expand the memory in it from 2GB to 4GB, since that was what Kingston's memory configurator said would work.
I couldn't get my hands on Kingston memory straight away, so I tried with Corsair. Putting those modules in, the laptop started with a blank screen(no initial text about entering BIOS etc), but the Windows sound was played as should.

Starting with only one of the 2GB modules works.

What I wonder is if this is likely a problem with the BIOS version, or if those new modules are faulty? They do work in an HP laptop from the same era, and I used them to upgrade that computer from 3GB to 4GB since the Windows version has been reinstalled as 64-bit.

The BIOS version in the LG S900 is stated as ZUGSSF02, and there seem to be at least upgrades to ZUGSSF08 and ZUGSSF0A available, with higher EC versions accompanying them(whatever EC is).

Anyone familiar with what features have been introduced in the BIOS for the LG S900, and in what versions?

Or could the problem lie with chipset drivers or with anything else, including the memory modules? I did try the LG S900 also with the odd old pair from the HP laptop, and that didn't work at all. There was a blank screen and no Windows sound. Those modules were from Ramaxel and Netlist.

I'd suggest to try upgrading the BIOS.

please help me. I'm having problems with my laptop,.
it fails bios, I have written other bios but it still fails.
it works for about 1 hour to 2 hours is shutdown.

i sign up just to say thanks, i used one cd to downgrade my bios on lg x110, was very easy, just burn it, run and press number 2 inside the menu ( only flash bios )

all morning looking for something like that.

Hi any chance these can be uploaded I have a P300 an trying to download LG_BIOS090408.rar one one site worked but the file is un-openable and size is ~37mb which cannot be correct? Trying to install Windows 10 and only 1 device will not install drivers for PCI Memory Controller?
