    Hi, guys!

Is there any existing service manual or guide how to disassemble our P300 laptop?
Or maybe someone already did this procedure and can give some advice?

I need to remove keyboard and palmrest and get to the CPU.

    Thank you!

Make sure to remove the battery. There are screws under it. Other than that it is pretty straight forward. If you still need help take some pictures of the back I can probably find them all from memory.

If you still need help, quote from person who sold their P300 to me "It’s actually kind of complicated. There are two screws to remove the keyboard, and like 5 more to remove the silver frame from the base and three really small ones under the battery. There are three small white tabs at the top of the keyboard that need to be pushed back to remove the keyboard. After removing the keyboard the silver frame can be removed. The power button and touchpad connectors should be removed. The HDD is in the bottom right corner of the laptop."

(was asking how to replace HDD as mine went bad)

I would love some more detail on how to get the silver frame out...no trouble with the keyboard but I can't find any release points or the frame.

    Thanks.

Seems like this is a difficult task... I've tried looking for more information via Google and could not find anything. There seem to be small plastic clips fastening the top plastic cover to the black base. I couldn't find a way to remove or "un-clip" these without potentially breaking the plastic cover...

Edit: I called LG Canada about this. They told me to either send the computer in for service or to see a computer technician in my area about this.

    There are no clamps.

Just remove ALL screws from the bottom. Don't forget to remove the 3 tiny screws in the battery compartment.

Then just carefully pry it open with your nails.

    Really that's it.

    :)

Edit: Remove all silver screws holding the top down as well; under the keyboard once keyboard is removed.
