I have an S1 Express dual, and just last night I put in a momentus 7200 2 160gig HD into my laptop. I checked the system setup by pressing F2 and I'm pretty sure it said 160gig. Anyway, I plugged in my old HD again to back up a few things, and afterwards, I plugged the 160 back in to install windows XP. Now I notice setup only recognises it as a 137gig HD. Does anyone know why this would be the case? Surely I didn't damage it when I removed it? I assumed the whole HD would stop working, rather than me losing 23 gigs. Seems kind of strange. Anyway, any help would be appreciated!

Dude Ive had the same problem with a 250GB HARD DRIVE first it shown 250GB but after another restart to install windows it gave me a 137gb even under BIOS.
there is a BIOS Limit you have to Upgrade your Bios.
Ive taken my P1 to lg service center and asked for a firmware update and they upgraded my P1 in less than 5 min in front of me and then I tried my 250GB and everything was fine.. -
Ahh... I suspected it was something like that. Although to be honest, I don't even know where to find an official LG service centre where I live. I've emailed LG, so hopefully they'll either send me the files, or tell me where I can go! Thanks for your help!
EDIT - Darn, I've just gotten off the phone with the service centre, and they're located in Sydney! I'm in Adelaide. They're refusing to send me the bios files, and I really don't want to send my laptop interstate for a 10 minute job, especially since my laptop isn't even under warranty anymore. I guess I lose the 23 extra gigs
