Ok, I've decided for the P300 now. It's quite expensive but what the hey.
Obviously it seems as though they're not selling it here in the uk, so I want to get it from .CA or .DE.
.CA's gonna run me up about £1100 i think? .DE slightly more.
However I'm gonna have to pay taxes on the .CA one, so they'll have to remove their taxes when they send mine over. .DE has no taxes, but the price is more expensive.
Does anyone know of the most cost effective way of bringing in a P300 here in the UK?
Also, what about hte garuantee, does anyone on this forum have issues with their P300, and can I get it repaired under warrenty WITHIN the UK? Or do I have to ship it back out again?
Cheers,

I would get it from Germany for the following reasons:
1. Shipping from Germany is half the cost or less. Insured trackable shipping from North America is likely to be at least £50 with a reputable courier company although the supplier might have a contract and get better terms.
2. You have the right number of keys on the keyboard (use stickers to change to UK keyboard) or get the UK keyboard option.
3. There is a 2 year warranty (standard in Germany). You will probably have to return it but the shipping and document requirement will be much less than returning it to North America.
4. Less likely to be any issue with payment.
5. No tax (17.5% VAT) to pay on import.

Ah, would you happen to know which stores most people on this forum have dealt with from germany?

A previous UK customer used www.notebook.de to purchase their P300 and ship it to the uk. Heres the thread, it may be of some use to you.
I myself am looking to get a LG P300 and have it sent to me in the UK, but that will happen when I have the money for it.
Good luck and dont forget to let us know of your experiences if you go ahead with it. -
Ah cheers!
Yeah I'm considering what to go for, I'm not sure, I want the BENQ X31 or the P300. The BENQ has a better gfx card or am I wrong? -
I wouldn't know enough to tell you but head over to http://www.notebookcheck.net to find your answer.
