I sent my computer to LG for repair in early February. As I had many reports and papers to write for school coming up, I didn't want any slow downs due to them not having the appropriate software. As such, I sent with the notebook, the Windows Vista CD and the LG intelligent Update CD. They sent the notebook back approximately 12 days later with a replaced HDD and MBB (whatever that is). Unfortunately they did not send back the discs.
I contacted them immediately afterwords and they said they would send the discs 5 days later. I was steamed that it would take 5 days. 5 days later - no discs. I called and they said they sent a note to the guy in shipping to send it out. A week later, no discs. I phoned and talked to a manager (who was the most apathetic, rude, and unclear person I have EVER talked to in my life) who said that he personally handed the request to the intern who sends out the discs. To this day - no discs.
I must have called 20 times, each time having to wait 30 minutes on hold only to be told that they sent another note to the guy that is supposed to send stuff out.
The only developments in this case are that one guy told me that LG no longer make the update disc for my computer, so they can't send me that. I told him that it as fine. I just wanted the Windows disc in case I have to reformat my notebook again. He told me he personally took the disc to the person who was supposed to ship them out. But still no Windows discs was obtained.
Finally, the last person I talked to told me he talked to his manager and that the situation "had been escalated". I guess that means it is a code yellow now?![]()
So here I am, over 2 months later with no Windows disc. Any suggestions on how I can get them to send me a Windows disc?

hey mate. You don't need the disc. You can simply download it off MS. All you need is the license, which should be indicated on the license sticker on the bottom of the PC, or maybe on My Computer properties. The disc is quite worthless really
