Anyone have this model here? Or maybe just the S1 with the T7200 or T7400?

    Just wondering about this:

    - Does it have the fix for the ATI X1600 graininess (ie: solid grey looks like it has speckles in it)?
    - Keyboard flex?
    - Is the battery life really only 2 hrs on a 6-cell battery?
    - Does anyone have the 9-cell battery? Does it stick out?
    - Anyone bought the dock? It seems to say it has DVI, but I'm not sure if that's true...
    - Anyone call up the warranty? Turnaround time?

    Thanks!

I haven't noticed any graininess, and I do a fair bit of computer graphics, so I think I can be a decent judge of this.
There is a very tolerable amount of inherent keyboard flex; much much better than some other notebooks.
Yeah... it does unfortunately have only 2 hours or so on a 6-cell.

Where can you get the dock? I'm interested in the DVI port.
Warranty... the few times I called I got directed to an answering machine.

I personally havent noticed any grainyness. All colors including grey seem fine to me.

There is a minimal amount of keyboard flex, as in most laptops...but it is completely oblivious during normal typing. You can only observe the flexing if you push real hard (MUCH harder than what you should be pushing while typing...)

Im afraid the battery life on the 6-cell is indeed around 2:15. If i use notebook hardware control to underclock my CPU, along with ATi Tool for my video card, i can get 2:45 on 2 notches above the lowest brightness setting (this is just taking notes in class...music etc with Wireless On, Bluetooth Off)

Yes the 9-cell battery does stick out from the back. Although i dont personally own one, i have heard it averages about 4 hours.

Dont have the dock, but i was personally disappointed by the lack of a DVI port on the S1 (not to mention that a VGA port on a flagship notebook looks pretty odd IMHO).

I havent really called LG at any point, i had emailed customer support a few months ago...their reply was prompt (within a day) with the solution to my reformatting question. :)
