I highly doubt it though it can't hurt to ask them.

I don't know, as CeeNote said ask them. It doesn't hurt to ask.

Although I have something to put in though...wouldn't you just end up scratching your new lid? Why not just keep the one you have instead of buying a new one and scratching it again?

Unless you cover it with some sort of protection like a plastic layer or something...

noscratch/nopolish look like a good idea to try before trying to contact LG for a lid replacement

In Europe there is a law next to the warranty that says that any company needs to provide follow up support and replacement parts for any product they sold during 2 years. This is the law and that's why products in Europe are usually more expensive. In other words, even if your warranty is void they still need to sell you replacement parts. This makes products more valuable and keeps rubbish off the market, consumer protection in other words.

So to make a long story short, if you'd be in Europe, they couldn't deny your request for the part. If they don't have that one, they need to provide you with an alternative solution. It's your right.

How that looks in real life I don't know. Usually companies in Europe have that kind of service, especially "brand" products like LG. But it may take a while, that's one of the disadvantages in Europe.
