do you guys think LG would sell the black piano finish laptop cover, ( the part ) of the lid to replace it
I dont like how scratched mine is!
such a beautiful laptop and so not scratch resistant!

I highly doubt it though it can't hurt to ask them.

Although I have something to put in though...wouldn't you just end up scratching your new lid? Why not just keep the one you have instead of buying a new one and scratching it again?
Unless you cover it with some sort of protection like a plastic layer or something... -
Instead of replacing the lid and if the scatches are just on on the surface I would suggest that you investigate Plastic Polishing compounds.
look here;

or

With a little bit of elbow grease, you could have that lid look like brand new.

noscratch/nopolish look like a good idea to try before trying to contact LG for a lid replacement

In Europe there is a law next to the warranty that says that any company needs to provide follow up support and replacement parts for any product they sold during 2 years. This is the law and that's why products in Europe are usually more expensive. In other words, even if your warranty is void they still need to sell you replacement parts. This makes products more valuable and keeps rubbish off the market, consumer protection in other words.
So to make a long story short, if you'd be in Europe, they couldn't deny your request for the part. If they don't have that one, they need to provide you with an alternative solution. It's your right.
How that looks in real life I don't know. Usually companies in Europe have that kind of service, especially "brand" products like LG. But it may take a while, that's one of the disadvantages in Europe.
do you guys think LG would sell?
