    ls 55 drive not reading dvds

    Hi guys,

    I have a ls-55 1eee1 model from Dubai. Great laptop. but recently, the combo drive is not reading any dvds, though it still reads cds. Any suggestions??

    are you sure you install DvD player of your notebook.you can find this cd on Lg pack.

    There is no dvd player on lg cds. plus, the dvd was working perfectly tilll two days back. now when a dvd is inserted, only the light blinks for a long time. is it something wrong with the laser??
