    overclocking 8600m gs on P300?

    Hi everyone

    Has anyone oc'ed the p300 ? I cant seem to find any drivers that would let me, it resets the values after applying.

    I figured that 169.04 would let me.

    I'm interested in knowing whether the 8600M GS downclocks when inactive. This is also known as the powermizer feature.

    Did you try Rivatuner?

    I have 175.70 on my T61 and can overclock via Rivatuner, so it sould be possible for u guys too.

    It should be yes, but LG locked the vga bios it seems, so unless we can get hold of a modded 8600m gs ddr3 bios, were kinda screwed it seems :(

    And yes, Rivatuner works fine with all drivers (if the hardware allows it).

    It does declock when inactive, but thats a good thing.. makes temperatures lower when gpu is not needed, works pretty well here.

    And powermizer is set to be disabled in the modded drivers I use right now, so not sure wether powermizer really controls things or is just another way of software controlling clocks.
