Isn't it a Microsoft thing? So like all laptops (vista capable and XP pro or home) which are purchased after 26 Oct get the upgrade option?

It's also worth checking with the dealer you're thinking of buying the laptop from. The Vista Upgrade program is also available from authorized system builders, which probably covers a number of dealers selling LG laptops. Now that the program is in effect, they should be able to tell you if the LG laptops they sell are covered.
