[KDE 4.2] Can't use the trackpoint center button on my Thinkpad for scrolling in Opera

I have KDEmod 4.2 running on Arch and everything's fine for the most part, including scrolling through folders in Dolphin using the center trackpoint button. For web browsing however, since Konqueror seems so buggy and lacks many features, I had to switch to Opera 10b QT4 and this has introduced a new wave of problems.

Everytime I click on the center button to scroll through web pages in Opera, a new tab opens in the background with contents from the clipboard. I tried editing this behavior via the configurations panel: opera:config->UserPrefs->Center Mousebutton Action-> set to 5 but that doesn't seem to work. The scrolling effect is patchy at best and this is getting quite irritating.

Can anyone recommend a solution here? Or should I just get out of KDE straight into the loving arms of Gnome and Firefox?

Firefox doesn't have too many Gnome dependencies.
With gtk-qt-engine it should work fine(and the kfirefox theme).

I know in firefox you have to enable autoscrolling for some scrolling stuff, that may be worth a shot.

Oh wow thanks! It worked. I used to think FF had way too many GTK dependencies. Turns out it doesn't use any core GTK elements.

With Chromifox, ABP and Stylish add-ons, I'm all set!

Nice! It uses a bit of GTK to draw the GUI but that's eesily fixed :p
