Does anyone know how i would go about getting my 8800gts to work with ubuntu. I've got everything else working on my 6860-fx (ubuntu comes with SO much that it was even better than plug and play)
But for the life of me i cant figure out how to get the driver for the 8800gts to install.
Viewing everything at 800 x 600 res is beginning to drive me slowly crazy
Thanks for any help you can give

I'm using Kubuntu right now, but did you go to Admin>Restricted Driver Manager and check the 'enable' box by your vid card? then it will download and install

Turn on proprietary drivers? My friend has a 6860 too and he's using Ubuntu. I'll ask him tomorrow.

Yep, thanks all. All i needed was the Nvidia Unix drivers and everything is working beautifully now. I love all the graphic options the fusion has. Its freaking sweet.
Thanks again for everyones help!
