Is Canonical not producing DVD's any more? Jaunty has been out for awhile now, and it's still not available. I also noticed there are no 64 bit CD versions. (Yes I know you can download them, I'm talking about their pressed discs).

my guess is that was a very successful tactic to draw in new linuxers

maybe they think it is counter-productive at this point to spend money pressing cds for folks?

If you are referring to Ship-It then no, you can only get one copy of a pressed CD version.

But having a look at the Canonical Store they have 8.10 DVD's for sale but no 9.04 DVD's...

Wonder if its a marketing decision? Might not have sold as many copies of the DVD in previous releases as required to break even on pressing them perhaps?

    Asked in the Ubuntu forums?

I ordered a Ubuntu 9.04 CD from them a few weeks ago and received it last week. I got it from somewhere on the linux.org site. It was free. I don't know if they have stopped it since then or not.

Hmm, it's kind of curious actually. I wonder if Canonical is just running a bit behind schedule.

I think this is where I got it from.

edit: They say it can take up to ten weeks to get it, but here in Illinois USA it only took less than 2 weeks.

It depends on where you live for example here in Greece it would take alot more time to be delivered.

It usually takes quite awhile for Amazon and Canonical to start selling DVDs.
