How to configured windows to boot from a live-cd?
thanks!
-
Never heard of doing a windows live-cd (most likely because it is not allowed by the EULA). You could look into virtualization technology, but I don't really know why you want Windows as a live-cd.

BartPE is the only thing like that that I know of, but I don't even think that'll work. Windows sucks for hardware changes. I've ripped out the mobo/processor/RAM and replaced those in my Linux machines, booted, and it's just happy as a clam.

no, no, no I have abuntu live-cd, but when I try to run it nothing happen. I reboot and nothig......

Is your BIOS configured to boot from CD?
Did you run the checksum for the iso you downloaded to make sure it was good? -
they send me a free live-cd

You need to enter your BIOS by pressing F1 or F2 or del as your computer first starts and posts. It may give you a message what to press and when, it might now. Somewhere in your BIOS you'll be able to set boot order, you'll want CD to come before hard drive.
