AMD released the drivers a couple of days ago.

I'm having an issue which is killing me literally.
I'd like to run Mint 14, but for some reason both GPUs run at the same time.
I've used vgaswitcheroo and it works, until i reboot. When I restart, i have to type it again. I've tried adding "echo OFF > /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch" to /etc/rc.local, but....
that just messes up my entire machine. I will cat the switch file and it will show the 7970m to be off yet its not. So i'll try switching it back on and it turns off for about 1 min then turns back on. So I turn it off, and guess what, 1 min later turns back on.

I've tried following the AMD guide to install the newest driver (13.1), but xserver crashes and I have to reconfig it. Also CCC does not work and reports no compatible device found.

I honestly do not need the 7970m on while I'm in *nix, as I don't play to game in it. I really need help as I hate Ubuntu (more Unity then anything), and would prefer running Mint. Please help I've been at this for almost a week now (off and on of course).

Last time I tried they were running my GPU's at 100% all the time.
