This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Anyone have a successful Dual-Boot of UBuntu / Vista?

    I have Vista on my HD. I made a free space partition for ubuntu within vista, rebooted, with the live cd. I installed Ubuntu. Now when I boot up, I see Vista in the bootloader. However, when I select it, that laptop just reboots. Won't get me into vista. I thought the boot load was suppose to work. As of now, I'm being told I need to put the vista dvd in and repair it. I am on the road, and will be unable to do this for a few days. Has anyone run into this problem, and know of another solution?
