The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Anyone here install FC8 64 on T61?

    ... I've got the T61 with NVS 140M, C2D T9300 with 3GB RAM, and I'm interested in installing the 64-bit version of FC8 but I've read of a few "issues" with regards to the video card (text install only?) and that the installer hangs on the x86-64.

    Any tips, advice?
