I'm interested in knowing your experiences. Which distro, headaches, issues, overall results, and if dual boot or wubi installation?

I'm interested in this too. The biggest source for potential trouble from the HDX notebooks seems to be HP's extensive use of non-standard components.

pdx-alpha has tried the LiveCD thus far. He has posted a reply to my post in the HDX 18t lounge.

Yes, and have been successful in some areas.
Dual booting with Vista, Installing Grub is not an issue
Fedora 10 2.6.27.5-117.fc10.x86_64 kernel
What works
Sound, stopped working in 159 kernel so I am sticking with 117 for now
Flash, Adobe labs for x64 Linux
Video, compiled NVidia beta drivers 180.17 against 117 kernel
The kmod nvidia package was rather sluggish, and I didnt buy an HDX 16t for slow performance.
Webcam, seems to work
Lightscribe - havent tested, but haven't had a problem getting this to work in any other distro
Wireless, picked up, little config required.
Update. Tried Intrepid Ibex x64 with excellent results.
Still using NVidia beta driver for video.
Everything else working out of the box.
Webcam working with Cheese, havent tried skype or ekiga yet
Anyone install Linux on a HP HDX 16t or 18t?
