Is there anyway I can put songs on my iTod? I tried installing iTunes using wine, but it didn't go very well. I don't care about buying songs from form iTunes or using any of the other features, but would like to put songs on my iTod.
Is there any way to get rid of the of the pop-up boxes that come up when you mouse over an object? I found a way to get rid of them in Windows, but can't so far in Ubuntu.
Lastly, I like big fat scrollbars. They're pretty skinny in Ubuntu. How do I fatten them up? Thanks for any help.

Plenty of ways of accessing an iPod under linux... in fact, iPod support should be available from within Rhythmbox. They still use Rhythmbox as the default jukebox app under Ubuntu, don't they?
to disable the tooltips, use Gconf Editor and navigate to apps/panel/global and uncheck tooltips_enabled.
Not too sure how to widen the scrollbars though... perhaps selecting another GTK theme will do the trick? -

woot! Do I win a prize?

Thanks for the replies. I got everything working, except the tooltips thing doesn't quite get them all, but is much better.
I'm sure I'll be back with more questions. -
Yeah, apparently the GConf setting doesn't effect all tooltips... there is a workaround if you're running Beryl though.

I'm afraid Beryl didn't work for me, but thanks for trying anyway.

I'm not sure if Rhythmbox can put songs onto an iPod... although it can read iPod songs just fine.
To actually manipulate iPod files, I think you'll need another program. There are a few and I can't name one off the top of my head right now...
Anyway to use my iTod and a few other questions.
