Hi guys I wanted a small operatoing system, for my hp dv6 laptop, that i can boot into really quickly and get to work on, and that could maybe increase my battery life.

So i decided to dual boot with linux, and i found that it is indeed alot faster, and nice to use. However my issue at the moment is that my battery life suffers dramatically.

My laptop which normally gives me 4-5 hours , with my 9 cell battery, givees me only 1.5 hours in linux. I dont know what the issue is, i beleive it may be using my radeon graphics instead of integrated, or maybe the screen brightness.

By the way, the two main linux OSes ive tried so far, are lubuntu and jolicloud. I like the latter better, but I cant switch to it as my main os, until i fix this battery issue.

So i wanted to know if you guys know anything about this, and how i can fix it.

    Thank You
