    Hello,

I am looking for a new AIO A4 printer with full duplex ADF scanner, Linux support, and decent print quality.

My first general question is how do the 3 main brands (HP, Epson and Brother) compare in terms of the quality of Linux drivers/software.
My understanding is that Brother is the best, followed by HP and and Epson, although the order of overall printer quality is probably more like Epson, Brother, HP. Any comments/experiences appreciated.

Software aside, I have shortlisted the following 4 printers:

    1. https://www.rtings.com/printer/reviews/hp/officejet-pro-9015e
    2. https://www.rtings.com/printer/reviews/hp/officejet-pro-9025e

Look like decent options, but not sure about Linux support, print quality is less than perfect and the 9025e is said to suffer from tilted ADF scans (which is also mirrored in some customer reviews on Amazon). It would stand to reason this also applies to the smaller 9015e/9012e variants.

    3. Brother MFC-J5730DW - a similar printer, but A3 capable in a smaller form factor. There are some concerns about ink yield
    4. Epson WorkForce WF-4830 - seems fine, probably the best choice if Linux support wasn't a concern. They do provide some unsupported Linux drivers for this model, which is not very reassuring

Only 1. and 2. are currently in stock anywhere near me, so I would just grab the HP if not for the crooked scans issue, which is a deal breaker, given that I am specifically looking for an ADF full duplex scanner.

    Thoughts/ideas? Many thanks guys.
