I use Bitdefender in Windows, also in Ubuntu 9.04 x64. Just to let some know that there is more out there besides ClamAV, Avast and AVG (Bitdefender for Linux is FREE):
Here is what I found in my Home Directory after a scan...I downloaded a file I thought would be suspect to test, and it found this:
FWIWCode:Failed to scan '/home/john/.config/chromium/Default/Preferences': Permission denied Object '/home/john/Applications/Adobe CS4 Keygen 1.02/Adobe CS4 Keygen 1.02.exe' is infected with 'Trojan.Generic.2329585'

I think every Linux distribution should come with an antivirus. While we are immune to windows viruses we should not just be passive links in the viral chain if transmission. At least Linux systems have the ability of dealig with those kind of threats without the fear of being infected while doing it. With great power comes great responsibility right?

I never though an AV in linux was useful, but I think I might try bitdefender.
But for your information, keygens almost always give a trojan alarm, since it is a crack (at least in windows). I haven't seen alot of keygens not giving a false positive. -
I did download Bit Defender, and am trying it out anyway. I also don't like how you need to jump through numerous hoops to get it though.
