Is there a way to boot Ubuntu without GRUB. Vista's Bootloader basically took over but didn't overwrite GRUB. So I had to use VistaBootPro to edit in Ubuntu.

Now when I boot, Vista Bootloader shows up ... I then select Ubuntu ... and now I'm in GRUB bootloader.

I was wondering if Vista or any other boot loader can boot Ubuntu without GRUB. I would like to just use Vista bootloader to manage my OSs. The same as on my Desktop PC which I use GAG bootloader.

No big deal as I have my default boots on a 2sec delay, so I don't even notice bootscreens unless I want to select a non-default OS. But I just want to know if it could be done?

I think Ubuntu can be booted from Lilo as well as GRUB, but I don't think it can come from a Windows bootloader. I think you could set a quietsplash option in GRUB or something that will keep it from showing though. I think that's what wubi does (you never see GRUB).
