I would really like to have a 2 in 1 for college but I'm going for computer science and I need to have a Linux distro but I haven't been able to find anything online about if I can dual boot a 2 in 1. Is it possible to do that?

I had CENTOS running with Windows 1o on my Vaio Duo 11 and everything worked other than the card reader. -
Starlight5 Yes, I'm a cat. What else is there to say, really?
@Mastermind252525 of course it can. Worst case scenario - something won't work. You can further investigate by trying Linux from a USB drive prior to buying the machine.

Short answer: yes.
Long answer: yes, but try and figure out exactly what hardware (especially sensors) is in the device and check for driver support. Search around for people that have experiences on similar hardware.
If you're going for something older such as baytrail based 2-in-1 units you may run into 32-bit UEFI which requires a bit of manual tweaking to get running, but I've done it and it's not too hard.Kent T likes this. -
They also will resize your partitions for the Linux system, so you will choose to boot Windows or Linux on the PC startup.
You also can choose to use a Linux virtual machine instead of that.
It can be more comfortable but it's entirely up to you.
Can a 2 in 1 dual boot Windows and Linux?
