    Can't get Counter Strike Source working with Wine, help please!

    I can't get my CS Source to work on Ubuntu. I have 8.04, with Wine 1.0-rc1. It gets to the point where it says "Sending Client Info" when I choose a server, and then it just crashes to the desktop. STEAM chat does not totally work either, with the chat text not being visible for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Put
    into your launch options for CS:S. It works flawlessly for me that way. (Replace the x's with the resolution you want, but make it a step lower than your fullscreen resolution. For example, I use 1440x900 so I set it to 1280x800.

    I tried this, and while it got past the loading screen, it crashed when I got into the server when you could see what was going on.

    I tried the WINE guide before, and that other one didn't really help. Thank you anyways.

    Which version of wine do you use? This has worked flawlessly for me since 0.9.56.

    1.0-rc1 is the version that I use, as stated in the original post.

    Any ideas (I use ALSA, as instructed)
