During my distro hopping travels, I have a question and an observation worth noting:
How do you put a trashcan on the OpenBox desktop of CrunchBang Linux? This is a cool distro, and fast, but I'm not sure if the minimalness of it might get to me. I think Thomas has experience with this one...what say you about this distro? Does OpenBox use a 'recycle bin'?
Also, Mint Xfce is an outstanding implementation of Xfce...best I've seen, so if you're an Xfce fan, you should check it out. They've added configuration tools, and also went the Zenwalk way of using Wicd as default networkmanager.
thx

Maybe I'll check out Mint Xfce. I tried Crunchbang, and while I thought it was a good idea, I wasn't really a fan of the shortcut-only interface.
Mint is IMO one of the best so far. I would probably use it before Ubuntu 9 out of 10 times. -

First of all, I don't think PCmanFM has a trash, It might just delete things via rm automatically.
If you want a trash folder install Thunar. As for drawing trash via desktop, I do not know... -
No trash is OK...just wanted to know as I don't fool around with OpenBox very much
@Citizen86: where ya at in May-E-Koe? -
Been in puerto vallarta for almost 4 years now

You need to go into PCManFM's settings and make it manage the desktop, I'm still not sure if it has the option for the trashcan on the desktop, but you could always make a link to the trash folder(if I figure out where it is later I'll tell you).
PCManFM does have a trash folder. -
Thanks Master Thomas....are you still using, or tire of it? I was pretty impressed with what they'd done after checking the LiveCD.

Prove it and I'll admit I was wrong.
Nothing I've read indicated PCmanFM has a trash function, and if it does, it must be quite recent. -
Kind of a hostile response......

Just stating what I've come across, I have no problem admiting I am wrong, I would just like to see some sort of proof as I havn't read anything indicating a trash function has been impletmented in PCmanFM by default.

I used it a bit but I stick to KDE(4) mostly with Gnome a bit too(not as much).
Hmm it seemed to have one last time I used it....well, you could just add a trash folder in your home folder and drag stuff into it. That's basically the same thing, anyway. -
ehhhh....don't need trash anyway
I ended up going with Mint Xfce for now because of speed. (over KDE4)

I wanted to use crunchbang but was put off by the fact they don't have a 64 bit version of their distro.
