Is it possible to mount a linux ISO and boot using Daemon tools?

Are you talking about booting to a virtual disk? As far as I know, that would never be possible, as the virtual disk isn't loaded until after the OS is.

you can mount iso useing the mount -o loop
not sure how mean boot it thought
if you mean useing some like vmware or qemu to load and run boot im in virtual machine then yes -
I think he means skipping the burning the image to disk step and just install Linux straight away. In which case, no.

You could use VMWare to virtually install Linux. But physically installing it would be hard without a CD. Worst comes to worst, try installing from a USB Flashdrive

If you've got the hard disk space available then the contents of some CDs can be copied to the hard drive, there is usually a lot of fiddling about that needs doing because you've got to shrink partitions and create new ones, and finally you've got the most risky bit when you install a boot loader into the MBR.

A blank CD is $1 at most. Just buy one and burn it, or send off for a free CD, or get a friend to download it. Basically, there's no way around putting it on some other kind of bootable media, and you can't use Daemon Tools. It's a good idea to have a Linux bootable CD around anyway, in case you reinstall Windows and accidentally screw up Grub, or need to do recovery of data or something.
