    Here I come!

Made a disc this morning and Im backing up data and VMs for the format this afternoon. After messing around with it when I was upset with ubuntu I figured now was the time. Even with other UI settings ubuntu is just not for me anymore, shame after 6 or so years of off and on use, but I am sure Ill love debian just as much.

You can also use Saline OS (Debian Squeeze)...Anthony has kept it pretty pure, he's just done some basic configuring for you, like firmware, and added a couple of scripts for MM codecs...but it's a quicker way to install...you can keep his backport repo's, or just use the standard squeeze repos. It's the same difference. FYI.

Yeah so far Im loving it, big change from ubuntu. Right off the bat I didnt have telinit issues which made me forget the unity mess. Still trying to get used to the way things are, but so far I can say with 80% certainty that I have found my new distro. If this doesnt work out for me Ill try SL or fedora (but I doubt Ill change from debian style linux).
