I hope this is the right place to ask this! anyways i just have one simple question i have a dell 1501 wireless pcie card if i run any linux distro in vmware will the guest operating systems find it and be able to scan for signals! Cause i know vmware emulates your system including your NIC! i know some onboard NICs work inside linux in VMware i didnt know if mine could so anyone with experience could tell me if it does or how to do so if possible!

Any network connections are virtual bridge adapters in virtualbox, these emulate a wired connection. The host OS is responsible for the management of the wireless link.

Make sure your system has an intel CPU with vt-d or AMD with IOMMU, and that it is enabled in the BIOS. That is one of the basic requirements.
