    Disabling Compiz

    What's the easiest or best way to disable compiz in Mint 11? Thanks.

    [system > administration > synaptic], type compiz in the box and mark everything that says compiz for removal by just clicking on it and it will give you that option. After you have done this, click on apply

    Complications in terms of it affecting other programs after removal?
    After removal, there should not be any issues that arise from doing this.

    You can install the compiz fusion icon through the apps store. It launches an applet which allows you to easily switch back and forth between compiz and metacity.

    Probably doesn't work with unity now that I think of it.
