    I'm very curious about this as my GPU is old and would pass for an antique, but I still may want to run Compiz Fusion in the future...

    Probably very similar requirements. Compiz Fusion is really just a re-merging of Compiz and Beryl, not to mention that the plugin system allows you to tune the features to your graphical power.
