Can anyone educate me on how to dual boot Ubuntu Studio(7.10) with Vista without annihilating my Vista setup?

    orion -
It's not hard in the sense of needing a college degree. The maddening part of trying to describe the process in a post is the total inability to account for all the little stumbling blocks that might or might not pop up along the way.
-How many partitions do you have on your HDD right now?
-If you have four primary partitions (common nowadays) did you burn recovery discs?
-Do the recovery discs appear to work?
-Can you delete the recovery partition and push the main partition aside to make room for a Linux partition?
-Do you have an UbuntuStudio LiveCD that you can use to take a test-drive?

LiveCD's can be funny - I've read posts where things that did work from the LiveCD would not once installed, and the other way around too, but it's still a nice tool for checking basic compatibility.

Do you have broadband? I don't. I googled "dual boot ubuntu studio". First hit was a video. There were many other hits after that.
