    Hey everyone!
I got my new P151HM1 from MALIBAL and am ready to load linux onto it. I was wondering if I could get some info on how to go about doing this and what programs to use.

Note: I saw that there was a post that was almost exactly like this one except that the OP in that was trying to get info on how to dual boot Unbuntu. Are the steps/programs I need to download different?

Didn't mention the OS, assume it's Windows 7. It's real easy, here's how I would do it.

First boot Windows 7 and adjust/shrink the main partition by about 50-75GB depending on how much you plan to do with Mint 11. Mint 11 on average takes about 6.5GB not counting the swap file.

Then reboot into Mint 11 and follow the instruction which the Mint team has made easy. You'll see the remaining space in your new partition. Select ext4 and partition how much space you want. Then it will ask you to create a swap file. If you have over 4GB of space I like to make a 500MB swap file unless you plan to use hibernation.

Now if you want to make it real EASY you don't have to shrink your Windows 7 partition and can simply install Mint 11 side by side with Windows 7 on the Windows partition.
