I am currently working on an assignment that requires enumeration of the Linux 2.6.8 in a lab environment. Superscan, nmap and nessus did not manage to enumerate the items that are required for the assignments, such as shared resources, group names, NetBIOS etc. I am using both Linux and Windows to enumerate the server. Any tools that can be used for the enumeration of the above OS? Thanks.
edit : I am really in a lab environment!

You might try Nbtscan. There are versions for both Linux and Windows.

Enumerate who? uhhh, yeah, that's the ticket, Nbtscan

What do you mean by "enumeration"? Because you can log in via SSH and use lspci or lsusb for hardware, nmap for portscanning, etc. Enumeration can be any number of things... if we knew what counted as shared resources and NetBIOS things, that might help.
