    Hi,
I have Windows 7 installed but also decided on a Linux dual boot.. As Fedora 12 seemed one of the recent releases I went with that in the x86_64 flavor. I really was not impressed with Gnome though, but KDE is just awesome.

It has been a long time since I have played with Linux. Although it seems more bloated I like Konqueror better so far than Fire Fox

I'm a Fedora fan also. If you like KDE, consider openSUSE as they have KDE devs on their team...they have a great KDE4 implementation. For me if I go to gnome, it's Fedora though.

I am on KDE 4.3.5, I am not sure what 4.4.0 would offer. For now I am just happy to have my dual boot and blowing the system up. I feel like a true newbie though just trying to get Flash to work on a browser...............

No, you can upgrade to 4.4 on any distro....just some info for future reference ;) If it's working and you like it, you're good then.

I am staying with 4.3.5 for now.. As I said I am happy I'm just in without any major issues and everything hardware wise seems to basically work well. I haven't been on Linux in a good 10 years or so. Even then I could get by but was no expert.
