After using ubuntu for a long time now..i figured i would explore other distros.
So i installed fedora 12.
going good so far..i do have one question..
When doing the wine install i get a pop up saying SElinux has detected suspicious behavior on your system..
has anyone else had it before?
i figure its nothing..but would like to know why this happens in fedora 12 and not in ubuntu. should i go ahead and turn off the memory protection?
thanks for any answers!![]()

The reason SElinux pops up on fedora and not ubuntu is that ubuntu does not run SElinux. Now as for the wine install pop up it is probably ok, to be honest when I ran fedora 11 for a couple weeks I found SElinux annoying and disabled it.

I wouldn't turn SELinux off, but I'd set it to permissive unless you're doing something mission-critical. That's how I have it set for my RHEL5 lappy at work.

alright..figured it was okay..but thanks for the replies and suggestions!
