    ok, well my lappy is below, how can i dual boot? and will the Compiz work?

    Dual-boot means that you keep some space on your disk for Ubuntu installation. During installation, Ubuntu will install GRUB bootloader that will detect that you have both Linux and Windows so when you boot you have both choices.

    ok, whenever i go to install, i get an error after selecting my keybored the error is ??????

    honeltally, not really, but i realised when i umplug my ipod, it doesnt happen, but i want to install it to my ipod..... might i have to forat my ipod?

    ok, well i fixed the problem, but i cant boot from my usb drive, it says no os,... i guess ill have to experiment

    ok for starters you're going to have to read a rew guides to intall it onto a usb drive. your bios also needs to support usb boot.

    I managed to install it onto a external usb HDD, but you have to do a few things frist. the ubuntu forums are a fountain of knowledge
