This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I've a Dell E6430 with fingerprint reader. Cannot get this to work in gnome ubuntu. Installed the fingerprint gui, but it says no fingerprint devices found.

    lsusb output gives this:

    Bus 002 Device 003: ID 0a5c:5801 Broadcom Corp. BCM5880 Secure Applications Processor with fingerprint swipe sensor


    How can i get this to work? Please help
