Yesterday I noticed a Firefox update in Ubuntu and to my surprise it wasn't labeled a RC, it looked like the real thing. So, does this mean that Linux received Firefox3 first? Ahead of Windows?
I was surprised no one said anything on the forums yesterday, I was waiting for someone to make a thread about this![]()

Nope, its been like that for some time.
RC 1, RC 2, RC 3, you name it. -
hmm...interesting
Thanks for sharing -
Actually, I get the same About screen in Windows XP RC3 version (and the RC2 before).

Ah ok, I see that its rc1 from the package manager. I thought it just said firefox 3 yesterday rather then rc1. Kinda odd that it doesn't say rc like it did for the beta in the about screen.

Although RC3 is out today, and it well could just get relabeled an end up being the final

Windows and Linux RC3 builds are same as RC2, only fix was in Mac builds.
