This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Getting the HDA dialup modem on e1705 working in linux

    I had tried to do this in Ubuntu x86_64 using the linuxant but ended up with drivers that wouldn't load up properly. All the links were setup and the module was loaded but it wasn't running correctly. None of the applications saw it and it kept complaining about being unable to unload snd-hda-intel. Anyone had any success loading this up?
