I'm finding it pretty fast....faster than OpenDNS but this is just seat of the pants...addresses are:

    Primary: 8.8.8.8
    Alternate: 8.8.4.4

In Windows 7 I set the adapter to use this (can do the router too)...
In Mint 9 I have to set 'each' wireless connection to use this DNS Server....does anyone know any other way to set it up in Linux (Mint/Ubuntu)?

    thanks amigos.... :)

Yup, I've used the Google DNS servers (I've now switched to 4.2.2.1/4.2.2.2/4.2.2.3; that's Level 3/Verizon).

But I'm setting these in my router. Is there a reason you don't want your router to handle this?

I connect at 3 different locations frequently....two of the routers aren't mine :) This way I always use it wherever I'm at.
