The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    big FF improvement for me....do this to upgrade with apt-get:

    You just need to add the following to your /etc/apt/source.list:

    Code:
    deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/fta/ubuntu hardy main
    Then you only need to update (with sudo apt-get update) and then upgrade (with sudo apt-get upgrade) to install the firefox-3.0 RC package upgrade.

    My StumbleUpon extension still works, as well as Gmail Notifier and Adblock Plus.....lost a couple of themes...who cares....my scrollbar is back!
