Ok. I got rid of my Macbook in favor of a T61 with Vista and Ubuntu.

I installed Vista 64 on my system and went to get my data off of my external (formatted in HFS because of OS X). However, Macdrive 7 is 32-bit only! I was going to try to use Ubuntu to get the data (I read that Ubuntu can read HFS, but the drive is never recognized). It comes up in gParted, but as 300GB of unallocated space (it should have 3 100GB partitions).

Basically, I just need help/ideas on getting my data off this HD (without reinstalling Vista 32).

Its partitioned into 3 100GB partitions. One of the partitions is empty. I was thinking of trying to use Ubuntu to copy one of the HFS partitions to the empty (reformatted as NTFS) and then repeat that for the second filled partition.

    Any ideas?
