Curious to know if anyone has installed a Linux distro on the new DV6T Quad Edition with the ATI 6490 or 6770 and if there were any issues with graphics or other drivers?

Definitely join the hyrbird graphics mailing list and / or look through the archives to see what folks have tried. Not sure I've seen it go by there yet, but that's the standard place for people trying to get switching graphics working go.

    Cheers for that.

I didn't realise it was switchable graphics. I had read about the nightmare people with NVIDIA Optimus laptops have had while running Linux on those machines and started researching this spec on the quad core machines, hoping to have better luck.

Have a question for those who purchased this model in the recent past. Do these have an option in the BIOS to switch between the integrated or discrete graphics cards?
