Ubuntu dropped a boat loader when it was installed (probably grub or lilo). This gives you the option to select which OS to boot to. Uninstall Ubuntu and the bootloader to move back to Vista only.

Depending on the boot loader, there should be an option in it to boot only to Vista as well.

more than likely if you are going to need to reinstall the vista bootloader. Don't panic its pretty easy. search super grub disk on the internet, and then download the iso and make a cd. Put the cd in when you turn your computer on, and it will help you reinstall the original vista bootloader, its reallllly easy because it has on screen instructions. After that, you can use vista's disk manager to get rid of the ubuntu partition.
