Hi, I installed ubuntu through windows and then decided to uninstall it through window's add/remove program, but ubuntu still shows up in the bootloader. Is there a way for me to remove it, so it doesn't ask me to choose a OS that does not exist anymore. I currently only have vista on my computer as the only OS.
Help would be great, thank you.

The people in the Ubuntu forums have been very helpful to me in the past. They are also quite knowledgeable and quick to reply. Just in case you don't find an answer here. Good luck.
P.S. Or you could boot from your XP cd and run "fixmbr" from a command prompt if you are comfortable with that sort of thing. This will erase the LILO or GRUB boot loader that I am assuming is on there and rewrite the Windows one. Just like new again.http://www.ambience.sk/fdisk-master-boot-record-windows-linux-lilo-fixmbr.php
To use the Fixmbr tool, from the Recovery Console command prompt, type
Fixmbr [device_name]
Where [device_name] is the device pathname of the drive to which you want to write a new master boot record. For example, the device pathname format for a standard bootable drive C configuration would look like this:
\Device\HardDisk0 -
You mean his Vista cd

Thanks for the heads up. Shows you how much I was paying attention.

Vista uses a different command to overwrite the MBR, fellas. Other than that the process is basically the same.
