    Help with restricted drivers for ASUS G50VT

    I own an ASUS G50VT-X1 and have an copy of Ubuntu 8.04 LTS on it, my Gpu is an 9800M GS,of which Ubuntu does not want to admits that it even exists ,along with my realtek audio card,it outputs video but is glitch with little visible errors while moving pages and the like and I can't activate the fancy graphics setting,of which my card,that I was just owning Hawx with 15 minutes ago at highest settings,I know I need the drivers for both but I need help with this"Li-nix" Thing....Thanks

    All you have to do is go to System -> Adminstration -> Hardware Drivers and enable the restricted drivers for the 9800m GS.

    I got a G50Vt-A2 running Ubuntu 9.04 64 bit with-out a glitch in Raid 0. The default ubuntu drivers are at 180. I am running 185.xx right now but by doing that whenever there's updates to the kernel you have to re-install them. Its an easy procedure.
