I have a D900T and I'm getting some new sata drives to stick in it. I've read how to set up Raid 0 for Windows XP, but how would I do it for Ubuntu? Would installing XP first and setting up the raid then work, or do I have to do something completely different for Ubuntu? I have the version 6.3 mobo and the latest bios update if that helps at all.

Hit tab at the boot screen for the installer and add dmraid=true to the boot arguments.

I can't seem to get it to work correctly. No matter what I do, I still see 2 separate hard drives when I'm trying to install Ubuntu. I set everything correctly in bios so it should work then right? Forgive me, this is the first raid I've ever set up and Linux isn't giving me any pity. Also I'm still new to Linux, so links to tutorials, screenshots or even talking me through it over Skype on my other computer while setting this up.

Did you create a RAID array or just set your BIOS to RAID mode?

Edit: If you didn't create the array yet, if you have an intel ICH type chipset (most likely), you'll need to hit Ctrl+I to get to the Intel RAID configuration when its Option ROM appears during startup. Then you can create a new RAID array with both disks as members.
