Hey, guys. I'm under-going consideration into buying a external hard disk driver enclosure for my 250 GB SATA HDD(I was stupid enough to get SATA when I have IDE, XD).
This is the one I want to buy:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=222506591&pf_rd_i=468294
If anyone has this and knows whether it works or not, or knows of one similarly priced, or where I can find out, or WHATEVER, I'd be grateful.
Or just general compatibility. Also, please don't call me an idiot if it's one of those things that if your USB port works or something, it works(if there's such a thing like that...).

USB devices like this usually just work. It would be rare to find a storage device that doesn't work with Linux.

It's just a UMS device, which should work pretty flawlessly in any distribution.

Thanks, just ordered it now

How good is external hard disk drive compatibility on Ubuntu?
