    Hi

    I have dual booting with XP and Linux... i want to uninstall Linux and restore my Sony to factory defaults... Recovery utility is not working... Any help would be great.

    You could use a LiveCD, delete your linux partitions, extend your XP partition to fill your disk, then use an XP install cd or Super Grub Disk to restore the MBR.

    There are plenty of guides if you search google.
